Warnath Group is providing tailored training and technical assistance to multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) in Costa Rica to enhance their ability to preliminarily identify and refer child and adolescent trafficking victims for formal identification and assistance. From May 30-June 1, Warnath Group conducted trainings with MDT practitioners in the cantons of Golfito, Corredores, and Puerto Jiménez.

These training sessions focused on overcoming barriers in the preliminary identification and referral of child and adolescent trafficking victims, the “Do’s” and “Don’ts” for preliminary identification and referral of child and adolescent trafficking victims; and the information needed to complete the Immediate Response Team (ERI) accreditation request report.

The IACT Program is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (J/TIP).
