One of the secrets to the Warnath Group’s success in Jamaica has been our stellar Jamaica Country Director, Aylair Livingstone. Aylair is an attorney who brought to our work many years of Jamaican government and international organization experience. She worked tirelessly, much of it behind the scenes, on Warnath Group’s child-friendly spaces, training sessions, and every other aspect of our collaborative work in Jamaica. She demonstrated a gift and tenacity in developing the partnerships needed with high-level Jamaican officials or in navigating the bureaucracy to achieve progress against child trafficking. She was a joyful presence during our hard work together on this challenging issue to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families. This is a small tribute to Aylair who has been to us and our work as our colleague and friend. Thank you, Aylair, for your five years of outstanding service advancing the objectives of the U.S. –Jamaica Child Protection Compact.
