As part of the IACT Program being implemented in the provinces of Guanacaste and Puntarenas, Costa Rica, on December 8, Warnath Group conducted a training session with practitioners from the Ministry of Public Education (MEP). The training, held in Santa Cecilia, La Cruz, involved 22 participants, including school principals and counselors who play a critical role in the identification and referral of potential child and adolescent victims of trafficking.

The objectives of the training were for participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of child and adolescent trafficking and to be able to preliminarily identify and refer potential child and adolescent trafficking victims for protection and support using their institutional protocol. Participants also learned about behavioral, physical, situational, and community-based indicators of child trafficking.

MEP officials participate in a gallery walk activity at the training on December 8.
