On February 14, the Warnath Group conducted anti-trafficking training with 33 professionals from three non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and representatives from the private sector in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste. The training covered the steps of trafficking victim protection and how to preliminarily identify and refer child and adolescent trafficking victims for protection and support within Costa Rica. The IACT Program recognizes that successfully combatting child sex trafficking involves collaborative engagement on multiple fronts, bringing together capabilities of many both in and out of government, including NGOs and members of civil society.

The IACT Program is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (J/TIP).

Participants engage in a gallery walk activity at the training on February 14.
